Autumn Forest

Done as a gift for my aunt on her birthday. I was incredibly pleased with how this turned out, as I haven't used watercolours since my A levels. I was really pleased with the vibrancy of the reds in the photo and how this really gave the piece an autumn feel. I had quite a bit of difficulty reworking into the painting to bring out some of the details in the foreground, but I feel that the time and effort spend doing this was really worth it. In the future though I may opt to use acrylics for the foreground, as they're easier to layer.
