Origami Heart

Study of heart

A semi-abstract study of a human heart carried out on Adobe Illustrator CC. A Wacom One tablet was used for this piece and each polygon was made using the pen tool. Some of the polygons have increased opacity to improve their blending and build up the shadows around the darker regions. The colour palette was created using the colour mixer and the square tool.

With this piece, I was trying to maintain form and depth, while only using polygons to simplify form. The simple colour scheme really helped to flatten the image to create the illusion of an origami heart.
